The separate tick for wider Ignite AI news is its own consent. You can take Build Barnsley without it, and you can withdraw one without affecting the other.

The Ignite AI delivery team, and our email provider, Resend, which carries the message that tells us you registered.

We report to the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology on how the programme is going. That reporting is totals, not people: how many registered, how many took part, which strands filled.

Our delivery partners, Barnsley YMCA, Postnatal Minds and the Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, do not receive your details unless you ask us to put you in touch with one of them.

Until the programme finishes and its evaluation is complete, and then for twelve months after that, so we can answer questions about who the programme reached. Build Barnsley runs November 2026 to September 2027.

If you register and never take part, ask us and we will delete your details sooner. We will not keep chasing you.

You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to withdraw your consent. Email hello@weareignite.ai and we will act on it within one month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
